NATA FBO Success Seminar Kicks Off In Las Vegas!

This morning at 8am Pacific time, the NATA FBO Success Seminar kicked off in the Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV. The FBO Success Seminar is being held this year in conjunction with the AviationPros LIVE show and features two education-packed days designed to help your FBO be more successful.

Here, Aviation Business Strategies Group’s (ABSG) co-founder Ron Jackson describes the attitudes and actions that will help create loyalty from your customers in a session he calls “Don’t Forget the Cheese!”

Earlier in the day, Dick Woodall from Beacon Aviation Insurance, the administrator of the NATA Workers’ Compensation Insurance Program, discussed the basics in managing your workers’ compensation insurance cost.


The 2014 FBO Success Seminar continues tomorrow with topics including:

  • Business finance for FBO operations
  • Developing a favorable lease

Changes to Safety 1st In-Person Training

I am sure many of you have noticed by now that NATA Safety 1st has not been marketing our annual Spring Training Event in Las Vegas. Over the last few years, we have heard from a number of our members about the impact the high cost of in-person training was having on their ability to send their employees. We are listening, and we understand! NATA Safety 1st has continued to add online training options to our suite of products since the release of the PLST back in 2009; including last year’s launch of the Supervisor Online program (an FAA authorized 139.321 supervisory fire safety course.)

This year we are taking in-person training in a new direction. We still believe that there is significant value in your employees being able to interact face-to-face with industry experts, so this year we are focusing on reducing the cost of providing that experience to your employees through the introduction of our regional Advanced Line Service Training seminar. This seminar will provide something for everyone from line service professionals and supervisors to facility managers. Customer service, fuel handling, quality control, ramp safety, leadership and even hands-on fire extinguisher training are included in this seminar – all for only $175 per person!

The first Advanced Line Service Training seminar is being scheduled as we speak for the middle of May 2014 and we will have more information in the next few days. However, we wanted to make sure that you, the readers of the Safety Net, had a heads up on the changes that are on the way!
